I was actually a bit surprised that Rarity got away with not working on Twilight's b-day dress when I first saw "Sweet and Elite" . She approved so that's all that matters. Plus, I can't argue with Twilight on simplicity and practicality, though Rarity's original design still looks interesting enough to draw just for kicks.

Awww, this is awesome! I´m writing a human mlp:fim/homestuck crossover fanfic right now, which I am illustrating as well and I stumbled about this lovely picture when I was searching for a certain dress from sweet and elite on google that I wanted to redraw!

Oh, that's interesting that you say that because I had thought Rarity had made the original design too extravagant. Then again, this is Rarity we are talking about, the element of Generosity, and it was a birthday present soooo....

They're so cute! Aaand they also look like they're thirteen, which is a little odd given that Rarity and Twilight are both adults, but eh, it's a humanization so I can roll with it.
